Taking on the Chinese New Year celebrations, spanning from Trafalgar Square to Soho, was no easy task.
With 300,000 attendees and a three-day setup, this was no ordinary community event.
Understanding such a complex, long-standing celebration required numerous pre-event meetings with seasoned experts.
The first challenge? Analyzing every event element and choosing the right path forward.

To streamline production, a partnership was formed with Casablanca Hire to install a new tent style for the VIP area.
This fresh approach promised a more attractive, cost-effective solution and allowed Trafalgar Square to re-open (post-event), ten hours earlier than in previous years.
Additionally, Delightfully Lavish Events enhanced the VIP tent’s interior, bringing an unprecedented level of decor to Trafalgar Square.

For the team, it’s not just about having a solid plan—it’s about selecting the right suppliers.
They are fortunate to collaborate with some of the best in the industry, and Chinese New Year was no exception.
Partnering with Event Crew Solutions paid off, ensuring that the large-scale fencing and lantern installation ran smoothly, efficiently, and—most importantly—safely.

The event wasn’t just about Trafalgar Square—it spanned north to Charing Cross Road, Shaftesbury Avenue, and Leicester Square.
With such a large-scale event and massive attendance, it was essential for responsibilities to be delegated to the site management team.
By dividing the site into sections and assigning site coordinators to each, it was ensured that all satellite operations ran smoothly throughout the day.
