Case Study | Brighton Pride

Since 2012, Wilde Ones have developed and managed all production at Brighton Pride on Preston Park.

Over the past eleven years, the event has experienced significant transformation, and as it continues to grow, so too do the production standards of the UK’s largest and most celebrated Pride event.

Wilde Ones are proud to have aided the development of the event, helping it evolve from a local community celebration into a major music event that welcomes global artists.

In 2018, the event footprint expanded, the Main Stage grew, and the event became a two-day affair.

Increased production values and capacity meant stars like Britney Spears, Nile Rodgers, Kylie Minogue, Christina Aguilera, Girls Aloud and Grace Jones were able to perform.

Larger crowds, enhanced production, and an expanded site have made it crucial that Wilde Ones meticulously plan every element of what has become the most complex event in our calendar.

The A Team

A plan is only as strong as the team delivering it. Fortunately, Wilde Ones is backed by a network of exceptional event professionals.

With a tight build timeline and a complex event site – featuring 10 performance areas, bars, 35+ caterers, and markets alongside sponsor activations – it takes a team that operates like clockwork.

Clear advance communication and great on-site spirit provide the foundation for high-grade event delivery, no matter the weather.

Choosing the right suppliers and trusting them with the plan is key to our site management.

Since 2019, Templine has been a cornerstone of our event infrastructure, offering a responsive team and rugged equipment with extra supplies always on hand.

Working with specialists like Templine, who understand our event and attention to detail, helps minimize stress and keep things running smoothly.

With a technicolour event ahead, Wilde Ones sought new ways to infuse Pride into every aspect of the production.

With increased media attention and the need for a VIP viewing area, Wilde Ones developed a creative, on-brand solution.

Rainbow-roofed ‘box seat booths’ provided the perfect vantage point to watch the show.

One of Brighton Pride's major stages is the Dance Tent, which has hosted the likes of Fatboy Slim, Honey Dijon, and David Morales.

Tents present a unique challenge for our lighting design team, offering greater opportunities for laser and LED displays throughout the day.

We collaborate with technical specialists to ensure every detail is carefully planned, providing them the support needed to create an outstanding spectacle for dancers.
